Méka Brunel, former president Europe of Ivanhoe Cambridge, has been appointed as French SIIC Gecina's new director general.

According to Gecina, its board of directors, under the chairmanship of Bernard Michel, unanimously decided to appoint Brunel and terminate the duties of current CEO Philippe Depoux.

'Ms. Méka Brunel, in close collaboration with the board of directors, will build on Gecina's solid fundamentals to accelerate the strengthening of its leading position in the office market in Paris, Focusing on operational, financial and environmental performance,' commented Michel.

Brunel has been a director of Gecina since April 2014, and headed Ivanhoe's Cambridge's real estate activities in Europe since 2009.
