Aviapark - described by its backers as 'Europe's largest shopping centre' - opened on Friday in the northwest of Moscow.

An Amma Development project, the shopping centre has a total gross lettable area of 230,000 m2, which hosts many retailers’ flagship concepts along with stores opening for the first time in Russia.

Fashion retailer H&M has opened its biggest store in Moscow (4,985 m2) at the centre, while Salvatini has launched its first men fashion boutique and Inventive Retail Group has established its second Street Beat sport fashion store.

Paul and Shark, Strellson, JOOP!, US Polo, Cacharel and Armani Jeans have also recently signed up at the scheme.

JLL, the exclusive leasing agent, said only 14% of the total GLA was still under negotiation. The firm described Aviapark as 'the best weekend shopping mall option for all Muscovites and an everyday destination point for those who live in nearby'.
