Czech postal services provider Mediaservis has sold its warehouse in Prague's Malesice district to telecommunication holding TTC.
International, which advised the companies on the deal, said it confirmed a trend of investment deals directly between end-users. The broker said end-users are increasingly taking control of production and warehouse premises for their own use in a bid to take advantage of 'unique opportunities' emerging in the current market environment.
'We see many companies on the industrial market, which have not been significantly hit by the economic crisis. Such companies often take advantage of the interesting investment opportunities that arise within the current market,' said Simona Cerna from the Colliers International Industrial department.
Total usable area of the building amounts to some 5,100 m2, of which 3,700 m2 for warehousing use, 400 m2 of offices and 1,000 m2 for special equipment. TTC will use these premises for further development of their information and telecommunication services.
Mediaservis, which was looking for a larger facility, moved to new premises in Horni Pocernice earlier this year. The new premises were built by VGP within its Park Horni Pocernice to suit the needs of Mediaservis and their partner PNS.
