Mebe Development has unveiled plans to build a four-star 230-room Mercure hotel in Khimki, Moscow, with construction expected to start in early 2014.
The building will provide total space of around 14,000 m2 and include a fitness area with a swimming pool, restaurants, conference and function halls, and a parking lot. The project, designed by John McAslan + Partners, represents an investment of $50 mln (€37 mln).
French hotel operator Accor will manage the hotel under the Mercure brand, the third such hotel in the Moscow area.
The delivery of the hotel is planned for the middle of 2015.
Mebe Development, part of Mebe Group, has been operating in the Russian real estate market since 1995, delivering over 1 million m2 of residential and commercial real estate. Also in Moscow, the company is constructing Mebe One Khimki Plaza, a 19-storey building with 44,000 m2 of space.
