UK developer McArthurGlen is to build a factory outlet centre in Salzburg, Austria, an hour's drive from the German city of Munich. Together with the Vienna Insurance Group, McArthurGlen will convert a two-storey warehouse to accommodate the new complex, which will have a lettable area of 28,000 m[sup]2[/sup] providing room for 140 designer stores.

Together with the Vienna Insurance Group, McArthurGlen will convert a two-storey warehouse to accommodate the new complex, which will have a lettable area of 28,000 m2 providing room for 140 designer stores.
The bulk of the constsruction work will be completed by mid-2009. The site of the new centre forms part of a large commercial and leisure area, which also houses a cinema, hotel and restaurant. The site is located some 20 minutes from the centre of Salzburg and 1 kilometre from Salzburg airport.
