Aldo Mazzocco, former boss of Italian REIT Beni Stabili, has been appointed as the new CEO of Generali Real Estate with effect from mid-June.
Mazzocco replaces Christian Delaire who resigned last March after two years in the job.
Mazzocco has a long career in the Italian real estate industry. He is currently head of real estate at investment bank Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, and previously served as chairman of asset manager InvestiRE SGR. From 2001 to 2015 he was CEO of leading Italian REIT Beni Stabili and held key management roles at fund provider Beni Stabili Gestioni SGR.
Between 2010 and 2015, he was deputy managing director at French REIT Fonciere des Régions. He has also been chairman of industry association Assoimmobiliare since 2011.
