Maya, in joint venture with Yilsan Holding, is investing a total of $180 mln (€160 mln) to develop the 250,000 m2 project, a mixed-use development consisting of a three-storey shopping centre, a Life Style Center and offices as well as Ikea's sixth storey in Turkey. The complex  will host over 150 stores including Ikea on 60,000 m2 of space, movie theaters, a children’s park, entertainment, and spa/fitness areas.

The company operates other two Anatolium malls, one in Bursa, which opened in 2010, and another one in Ankara, delivered in 2011.

'We see Kartal as a rising district of high potential, with its renewed infrastructure, modern housing projects, new business and living culture, open to development, and aim to host some 15 million visitors annually,' commented Nuri Özsüer, chairman of Maya Holding and Ikea Turkey. We believe that this project will come as a great addition to Istanbul and Kartal district.'

The  concept of Anatolium Marmara was created by US-based DDG, Anatolium Marmara shopping center’s concept consultancy, leasing and long term management services are contracted out to Mallexpert.
