LaSalle Investment Management announced on Wednesday that Simon Marrison is becoming sole head of LaSalle's business in Europe as European co-head Charles Maudsley is joining British Land.

Marrison is a 23-year industry veteran and has led LaSalle's business in Continental Europe since 2001.

Charles Maudsley, co-head of Europe for LaSalle Investment Management, will be leaving the firm to join British Land, where he will take on the position of Director of Business Expansion and become a main board member of the FTSE-100 listed property company.

Commenting on these changes, Jeff Jacobson, LaSalle’s Global CEO, stated: 'Charlie is a good friend and trusted partner in our business who we will greatly miss. British Land is a great company, and his new role will allow him to concentrate his efforts and talents exclusively on investing in the UK market in contrast to some of the broader fund raising, investor relations, and general management responsibilities that were part of his current role. We wish Charlie success in his new role, and look forward to working with him in the future as opportunities arise.'
