Hotel giant Marriott is to manage The Lucan luxury residential block in London’s Chelsea for Gulf Islamic Investments.
Gulf Islamic Investments is calling the agreement a ‘unique collaboration’ for its Lucan, Autograph Collection Residences.
The 31 individually-designed apartments will be provided over the seven-floor property set for completion in 2024.
Marriott will offer services including a 24-hour concierge, gymnasium, porter services, and perks through Marriott Bonvoy – Marriott International’s travel program.
In a statement, Gulf Islamic Investments explained, ‘This pioneering collaboration reflects the growing desire for high-end residential properties, borrowing from the hospitality sector’s advanced customer experience model in the UK and other leading destinations.’
It is a first for both brands.
Mohammed Alhassan and Pankaj Gupta, co-CEOs, said: ‘The Lucan represents a pivotal project marking our first foray as both investor and developer. Our intention is to deliver a boutique development that not only offers an exceptional quality of life, but one that matches the highest international standards for luxury lifestyle real estate.’
Jaidev Menezes, Marriott’s regional VP of mixed-use development EMEA, explained The Lucan was being designed by the international architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), complete with 'rich amenities' and a 'refined atmosphere that are signature hallmarks of the Autograph Collection Hotels brand'.
