Irish developer Marlet has signed its first financing facility with funding specialist Activate Capital to fund the development of the Shipping Office in Dublin’s Silicon Docks.

The €101 mln loan is Marlet’s fourth facility since the beginning of the pandemic and comes only three weeks after signing a €74 mln deal with HBFI for the Green Acre Grange residential development in Dundrum.

The Shipping Office will feature 16,500 m2 of office space and 530 m2 of retail accommodation. Designed to achieve LEED & Wiredscore Platinum, the six-storey office-led building will feature open floor plates with access to multiple landscaped terraces, and state-of-the-art staff facilities to allow for flexibility.

Works are already well under way with completion scheduled for Q3 2022.
