GE Real Estate has announced the promotion of Mark Hutchison to president of its newly created GE Real Estate International unit, covering operations in Europe and Asia. Hutchison has been president of GE Real Estate Asia-Pacific since 2005 and was leader of GE's capital markets team from 2002-2005. He joined GE Capital in 1994.

'The creation of a new international team with P&L (profit and loss) responsibilities will improve our efficiency and provide added clarity in a dynamic environment with attractive growth opportunities,' said Ron Pressman, president and CEO of GE Real Estate.
Hutchison and his team will be responsible for debt and equity origination, asset management and net income performance. The creation of the new international unit will be accompanied by a new international debt centre, leveraging on debt teams now in place in Europe and Asia, which will facilitate origination and asset management of debt portfolios.
