Marcus Wild, CEO of SES Spar European Shopping Centers, has been appointed to the new role of vice president of ICSC Europe.
The shopping centre body said the position had been created so that ICSC can better serve the needs of its European members.
The announcement was made during ICSC’s annual meeting of members at RECon, the global retail real estate convention.
Wild previously served on ICSC’s board of trustees for two years and is also the past chairman of the ICSC European advisory board.
‘Marcus joins a distinguished group of ICSC members who not only develop new and exciting programmes for our members, but also serve as the voice of the industry in their respective regions,’ said ICSC’s president and CEO, Michael Kercheval. ‘With Marcus representing ICSC membership in Europe, the wants, needs and desires of our members there will be addressed at the highest level of our organization,’ he added.
Also during RECon, ICSC announced that it had struck collaborative membership agreements with the British and French shopping centre councils to provide education, research and networking opportunities for the retail real estate industry in these countries.
With the addition of the British and French shopping centre councils, ICSC’s European membership has increased to 7,000.
