Amsterdam-listed property company Wereldhave has opened a Stockmann store as part of the redevelopment of the 100,000 m2 Itis shopping centre in Finland.
Finnish retail group Stockmann, which anchors the scheme, has opened a new 13,000 m2 department store after relocating to the eastern end of the shopping centre. This completes the first phase of the €100m Itis refurbishment project.
The entire redevelopment of the Itis centre, which will cost some €100 mln, will see 60-65% of the units taken up by new and relocated tenants.
Itis is located 10 kilometres east of the Helsinki central business district.
Jones Lang LaSalle worked on a significant number of the relettings and also provided consultancy services for the development of the centre.
The final phase of the refurbishment is under way and is scheduled to reach full completion in autumn 2014.
