MAPIC: Primark opens largest Portuguese store

Irish retail chain Primark has opened its seventh and largest store in Portugal.

The 4,350 m2 store is opening in Sonae Sierra’s Colombo shopping centre in Lisbon. It is also Primark's second-largest Iberian store.

In total, the new store will employ 300 new employees, bringing the total number of people employed in the country to more than 1,370.

Primark's European network currently has 257 stores and around 47,500 employees in eight countries.

Primark was advised by Cushman & Wakefield.
