Puuvilla Shopping Centre will comprise 43,000 m2 of commercial space for rent, making it one of the 10 largest malls in Finland. The aim is to provide energy with low emissions, and geo-energy is used for heating and cooling the building. Skanska and the developer-investors will seek to obtain LEED Gold certification for the scheme.
Delivery of the shopping centre is planned for autumn 2014.
Skanska said the contract is worth EUR 110 mln.
