ECE is taking over the management of the newly opened MaviBahçe shopping centre in the western Turkish city of Turkey.

MaviBahçe, a 60,000 m2 shopping centre on four levels, opened its doors in the third most populous city of Turkey last week following a €180 mln investment by Turkish Group Opera Gayrimenkul.

The mall accommodates over 200 specialist stores, 47 cafés and restaurants, and the first IMAX theatre in the city with 11 halls. There are also 2,000 parking spaces for visitors.

Selami Özel, chairman of the Board of Opera Gayrimenkul: 'As an investment group originating from Izmir, we know the people of our region very well. Therefore, I am confident that MaviBahçe will meet the demands and needs of the people of Izmir and that the center reflects their lifestyle.'
