In his new role, Vickers will identify and undertake transactions to support occupiers’ property needs on behalf of M&G’s long income funds, which have £6.5 bn (€7.6 bn) of assets under management in the UK, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Portugal.

Vickers joins from accountancy firm Deloitte, where he specialised in real estate finance, leading transactions and advising corporate occupiers across a range of financial structures and property asset classes.

He previously worked for eight years as a partner in Cushman & Wakefield’s corporate finance team, where he led corporate occupier-led transactions in addition to originating and executing sale-and-leaseback deals. He also spent four years with Ernst & Young as a senior executive in its real estate finance division.

Vickers will report to Matthew Stone, head of long income real estate, who joined in August.
