M&G Real Estate is strengthening its UK residential property team with a new appointment and a promotion.
It has appointed Freddie Wonnacott as an investment manager, who moves across from M&G Real Estate’s UK Retail and Leisure team, and promoted Andrew Cook to investment manager.
M&G's UK residential property strategy launched in mid-2013 and has since made commitments of around £545 mln comprising 2000 homes. The four-strong team is led by head of residential investment Alex Greaves.
'By growing our team we will ensure we build upon the success we have achieved since 2013. We are scaling up to identify more forward funding opportunities and provide investors with further access to the residential sector’s attractive risk-adjusted returns,' commented Greaves.
The moves follow news that M&G Real Estate is joining forces with Mulbury for its first northern Private Rented Scheme (PRS), financing 135 new private rental homes in central Manchester.
