Joining from Rockspring Property Managers, Van Wieringen has worked throughout Europe and was most recently head of asset management for the Benelux.

She takes up her new post at M&G’s existing office in Amsterdam, reporting to Marc Reijnen, head of asset management for Continental Europe.

'The strong economic fundamentals in the Netherlands meant it was a natural next step for us to have a dedicated presence there,' said Reijnen.

'As we expand our footprint and open new offices, we are creating new opportunities for talented real estate professionals such as Laurien, who will be key to driving growth in this important market – we are very happy to welcome her to the team.'

According to the firm, the hire represents its first dedicated appointment in the Netherlands, reflecting ongoing expansion plans for continental Europe.

Since 2016, M&G Real Estate has opened four new European offices and made 20 new appointments on the Continent and now has offices in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Paris and Stockholm.
