Australia's Macquarie Office Trust (MOF) has completed the acquisition of the Atrium Charlottenburg office property in Berlin for about EUR 84.7 mln. The transaction was announced last December as MOF's first acquisition in Europe. The property comprises 40,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of lettable area and the principle tenant is T-Systems, a division of Deutsche Telecom. Property advisor Jones Lang LaSalle represented the vendor, a private company, while Macquarie Global Property Advisors (MGPA) acted for MOF.

On 13 March this year, MOF announced its second acquisition in Europe with the purchase of the City Central property in Milan, Italy for EUR 151.9 mln. CEO Adrian Taylor commented at the time: 'The transaction represents a continuation of Macquarie Office's strategy of diversifying investments into European growth markets seeking to increase returns to investors.'
