Retail group LPP has signed a lease for 2,800 m2 of space at Ikea's Bulwary Poznanskie in the Polish city of Posnan. Bulwary Poznanskie is now 50% leased.
LPP's retail brands include Reserved, Home&You, Esotiq, House, Mohito and Cropp Town.
Inter IKEA Centre Polska which developed Bulwary Poznanskie said the open-air shopping centre concept is unique in Poland.
The total scheme covers approximately 70,000 M2, including a 30,000 m2 IKEA store and a 40,000 m2 retail area with over 100 shops. There are also 2,800 car parking spaces located in underground and surface areas.
Opening is planned for Spring 2011.
Jones Lang LaSalle is the commercial leasing agent and advises on the marketing process. 'In current times when projects, even those under construction, are being postponed due to the financing problems, Inter IKEA eliminates this risk,' said JLL's Marta Stanczak.
