Landlord Dominvs Group has recruited Cushman & Wakefield to market one of the best located development opportunities in central London. 65 Holborn Viaduct is a 0.53-acre site in the heart of midtown, equidistant from The City of London and the West End.
Dominvs Group has decided to sell the landmark Viaduct site in Holborn due to the number of unofficial approaches the group has received from interested purchasers over the summer. The disposal is in line with the investor’s strategic diversification into residential and student market. C&W declined to provide financial details.
The site has existing planning consent for a 207,754 sq ft (19,320 m2) mixed-use scheme, anchored by a 382-key hotel, with 32,464 sq ft (3,016 m2) of workspace and both a ‘sky bar’ and a public rooftop viewing gallery. Alternatively, the site has potential for an headquarter office scheme, comprising over 181,000 sq ft (16,815 m2) across lower ground, ground and nine upper floors.
Farringdon Station – where the London Underground, Thameslink and Crossrail will combine services in 2022 – is five minutes walk away.
Jay Ahluwalia, director at Dominvs Group, said: ‘This landmark 0.53-acre site at 61-65 Holborn Viaduct is adjacent to the Amazon HQ and the Museum of London and is perfect for a headquarters building or landmark hotel. Sites in the City of London region of this quality are rarely brought to market and Dominvs Group has received interest in the site from various parties prior to it being officially offered for sale.’
