The former office building has received planning permission for the redevelopment.

The redevelopment will add three floors to Westminster Tower, creating a 17-storey building with 28 apartments and two penthouses. Residents will have views of iconic London landmarks like the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and the Thames.

The development is near St. James's Park and within easy reach of the shops and restaurants in Chelsea and Mayfair. Transport links via nearby stations (Waterloo, Vauxhall, King's Cross St. Pancras, Paddington, and Victoria) provide easy access to the rest of the UK and major airports.

Jonathan Emery, CEO of Aldar Development, said: ‘Westminster Tower is one of the first developments launched by London Square following the acquisition and signals a move into the prime London market for the first time. Looking ahead, we are committed to sustaining the platform‘s growth through further strategic landbank acquisitions in line with our strong belief in the solid fundamentals of the London market and its future growth potential.’

Adam Lawrence, CEO of London Square, added: ‘Positioned in one of the most globally recognised areas of the capital and destined to be an outstanding addition to London’s skyline, Westminster Tower will become a signature development for our business, reflecting our track record and expertise in the delivery of exceptional homes that will excite buyers within the prime residential market.’

Westminster Tower's redevelopment highlights London Square's expansion under Aldar's ownership. Since the 2023 acquisition, London Square has secured 12 additional London development sites.
