Logistics Capital Partners has followed up news of a hiring in Spain with the appointment of senior legal counsel.
John Went has joined from CBRE Investment Management’s indirect business where he had had overall responsibility for the firm’s legal affairs globally including funds, separate accounts, investment activity and joint ventures. He also oversaw the legal functions of the CBRE Investment Management Asia Pacific and Infrastructure businesses and has been involved in various large logistics JVs.
‘This is an exciting moment for me and a perfect strategic fit with LCP’s evolution,’ said Went. ‘The team’s track record and reputation in the market is first class and I look forward to working with them, particularly at such an interesting time in the market.’
James Markby, founder and managing partner commented: ‘John’s pedigree speaks for itself, having been at Oxford University, Clifford Chance and then General Counsel at CBRE IM’s Indirect business. The timing is perfect as we look to make the most of the dislocated markets and competitive capital structuring across our business. It will be a winning combination.’
