Logistics specialist Logicor and Italian asset manager Kryalos SGR have announced the acquisition of a 34,000 m2 plot of land in Lombardy in the Sulbiate area, in the province of Monza and Brianza, for the development of a new logistics facility of 14,400 m2.
The site was acquired through the Mazer fund, a closed-end real estate investment fund managed by Kryalos SGR and invested by Logicor.
The plot is strategically located just 10 km from the entrance to the A4-Milan-Venice motorway and 7 km from the A51-Tangenziale East, about 33 km from Linate airport and 26 km from Orio al Serio airport. The construction works will start in Q3 2024 and include the construction of a 13,500 m2 warehouse and 900 m2 of offices.
The logistics will target a BREEAM Very Good certification.
Graeme Hepburn, country manager Italy at Logicor, said: 'Our growth path continues in the most strategic locations for customers. With this new sustainable development in Sulbiate we further expand the portfolio of logistics properties offered, capable of supporting the flow of goods, fundamental for everyday life.'
Logicor has over 2.6 million m2 of logistics real estate in Italy in regions such as Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Lazio.
