Logicor, the pan-European owner and manager of logistics real estate in Europe, has purchased a land plot in Rotterdam with a view to extending its real estate portfolio in the area.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The deal, which represents the firm's third transaction this year, comprises an approximately 80.000 m2 land plot in the direct vicinity of Rotterdam. Logicor purchased the land from a private organisation with a view to building a logistics scheme on the plot.
The development site is in the municipality of Lansingerland, only 5 kilometres from Rotterdam. The location provides direct access to highways A4, A13 and A16 via ring road A209 and will significantly benefit from infrastructural improvements in the area such as the extension of highway A16 from 2025 and beyond.
Logicor said it was committed to collaboration with the municipality for the future development and exploring innovative solutions to make the location a green zone and as sustainable, green and carbon neutral as possible.
