The European Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (Inrev) announced on Thursday that its CEO, Lisette van Doorn, is leaving the association to join ING Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) Italy as country manager. She will also be fund manager of ING Retail Property Partnership Southern Europe. Inrev is now actively seeking a new CEO and the fund body said it will make an announcement in the near future.

Since Van Doorn joined Inrev in 2005, membership has more than doubled from 150 to 319 members from 31 countries. In a statement, Inrev noted that Van Doorn has been recognised by the industry, having received the IPE Real Estate award in 2007 for her outstanding contribution to the industry. She has been instrumental in establishing Inrev's Guidelines, has developed the Inrev index, which increased from 87 vehicles to 224, implemented a full training and education programme and built up the association into a full working team.

Inrev chairman Johan van der Ende said: 'Obviously we will be sad to see Lisette move on, but we wish her well with her new appointment. During her four years with Inrev, she has transformed the Association, growing it from a team of two to a highly successful and professional team of 15. Inrev has worked hard to aid the non-listed real estate industry in becoming an asset class in its own right. I believe this is evident in how the asset class has matured over recent years and it is obvious that Lisette has delivered an important contribution to this.'

In her new role at ING Reim, Van Doorn will be responsible for ING Reim Italy's EUR 1.3 bn Italian fund and asset management business.

Earlier in the week Inrev announced that Lonneke Löwik had been appointed as its new director of Research and Market Information.
