LIP Invest said this week that it is acquiring two Hermes distribution centres in Düsseldorf Willich and in Neutraubling, southern Bavaria, Germany, on behalf of the LIP Real Estate Investment Fund – Logistics Germany III open-ended fund.
Financial details were not disclosed. The seller of both properties is the project developer and investor Casaplan Seeliger.
The assets provide around 10,000 m2 of rental space as well as 120 parking spaces and boast a DGNB certificate. They are occupied by Hermes, which has been using the buildings constructed in 2010 and 2011 for about ten years.
‘On the one hand, the Willich location is suitable for fast supply to end customers in the surrounding cities. On the other hand, with Duisburg, it is connected to the world’s largest inland port, which is currently expanding its transport network even further – including the connection to the New Silk Road. Both logistics properties complement our existing portfolio very well and contribute to a further location diversification,’ said Natalie Weber, head of logistics and research at LIP Invest.
