German life insurer Zurich Deutsche Herold has acquired a seven-storey office and commercial building under construction in downtown Frankfurt.

German life insurer Zurich Deutsche Herold has acquired a seven-storey office and commercial building under construction in downtown Frankfurt.

The vendor was Hochtief Solutions.

The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The Börsentor property is under construction on Börsenstrasse in Frankfurt. It will comprise 3,400 m2 of offices and 450 m2 of commercial space. The building will exceed the primary energy saving requirements set out in the 2009 Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV2009) and is designed to meet the criteria for Silver certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).

Completion is scheduled for the summer of 2014.
