UK commercial property investment company LCP has promoted Ben Chislett to managing director of retail, after joining in January as UK head of retail.

The latest announcement is part of a series of internal promotions at the West Midlands-based company.

James Buchanan, group managing director, commented: ‘LCP has gone from strength to strength, particularly in the retail sector, where we have grown our assets significantly over the past 24 months, investing more than £225 mln (€262 mln) in regional centres and local parades.’

Chislett added: ‘Since joining LCP I've been impressed with its assertive and positive acquisition programme and its ambitious plans for adding to the UK portfolio and improving the assets. As retail managing director, I'll be driving this further as we look to invest carefully and intelligently.’

LCP has £300 mln (€348 mln) available to invest for assets ranging from £500,000 (€581,149) to £200 million (€232 mln).

The company is one of the UK's largest private owners and managers of retail, leisure, industrial, office and residential property.

Its industrial portfolio totals more than 1.07 million m2 of space while its retail portfolio comprises of over 873,288 m2 across more than 370 sites.
