Recovery in the legal sector is seeing law firms take more office space in major cities across Europe, according to a new report from CBRE.

While law firms remain focussed on cost cutting, they continue to pay some of the highest rents as they take high-quality premises in core business districts.

CBRE looked at eight major markets for law firms: London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Munich and Moscow. Each saw more legal sector take-up of office space in 2013 than in 2010.

Munich was the only city to see prime office rents surpass pre-recession peak levels.
