LaSalle Investment Management has announced four new leases at High Chelmer Shopping Centre, Chelmsford. Arcadia brand Topshop/ Topman has renewed the lease of its 855-m[sup]2[/sup] Unit 1 for a further 10 years and will complete a major refurbishment of the store in the New Year to include a double-height glazed frontage. Miss Selfridge, another Arcadia brand, has committed to a new 10-year lease of the 313-m[sup]2[/sup] Unit 7, and will open for trade before Christmas 2009.

Republic recently opened their new 484-m2 flagship store and have taken a new 10-year lease on Units 41/42, and The Outdoor Group has renewed its lease for a further 10 years on 185-m2 Unit 34.

Rebecca Gates, regional director at LaSalle Investment Management, said 'These four lettings follow the recently completed £1.75 mln refurbishment programme of High Chelmer, which has greatly enhanced the internal retail environment of the shopping centre and reinforces retailer sentiment that this is the dominant shopping centre in Chelmsford.'
