LaSalle Investment Management raised $1.8 bn (€1.4 bn) of capital globally during the second quarter, according to an earnings update by parent company Jones Lang LaSalle.
The capital was primarily raised from private equity commitments, Jones Lang LaSalle said in a statement coinciding with the presentation of the company's second-quarter figures.
Assets under management totalled $46.3 bn as of June 30, 2013, down 2% from $47.7 bn in the previous quarter. JLL attributed the decrease primarily to foreign currency movements.
JLL said the new capital raised at its investment management arm would generate growth in assets under management and in advisory fees as the capital is invested.
