Lar hires Neinver to manage Basque retail park

Spanish outlet specialist Neinver has been appointed by Lar España Real Estate Socimi to manage half of the Megapark Barakaldo retail park in the Basque region of Spain.

Neinver said it will take over the management of 64,000 m2 of the 128,000 m2 scheme in the city of Barakaldo.

Megapark Barakaldo is the largest outlet centre in northern Spain. The managed area includes retailers Decathlon, El Corte Inglés, MediaMarkt and a Mercadona supermarket, together with a 61-store outlet centre measuring 19,395 m2.

Neinver, specialised in retail and outlet management, manages over 566,000 m2 of retail space spread over six European countries.
