Private property company London & Regional is set to buy the David Lloyd Leisure business from Whitbread this week for a figure close to £940 mln (EUR 1.382 bn), the Financial Times has reported. London & Regional, run by Ian and Richard Livingstone, has reportedly made the highest bid for the health and fitness group, which was recently put on the market through Morgan Stanley. David Lloyd owns a total of 72 clubs.
