Land Securities has put the Newcastle leisure centre The Gate up for sale as the UK-listed property giant prepares to convert to real estate investment trust (REIT) status in January.
The 19,000 m2 complex is home to a casino, a multiplex cinema also well as bars and restaurants. Reports in the British media suggest that Land Securities is seeking £72.5 mln (EUR 107 mln) for the five-year-old property which is the only leisure centre in its portfolio.
Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed to market the centre.
