UK real estate investment trust Land Securities has received planning consent from the City of London's Planning and Transportation Committee to develop a property near the Old Bailey court complex in the British capital.

Designed by Make Architects, the mixed-use development at 30 Old Bailey will replace properties dating from the 1960s with an eye-catching nine-storey building which curves inwards around a public plaza. The scheme will also provide a new pedestrian route joining Limeburner Lane with Old Bailey.

The new development will comprise approximately 39,000 m2 of office accommodation and 3,900 m2 of retail.
