Italian asset manager Kryalos Sgr has completed the purchase of a large logistics facility in the province of Piacenza, Italy.
The 23,000 m2+ property is located in Monticelli d'Ongina near Cremona and close to major transportation routes, including the A1 motorway and the E70 European highway connecting Turin to Trieste.
With the support of Logicor as advisor, Kryalos Sgr acquired the asset on behalf of its newly formed Thunder V alternative investment fund, which is backed by Blackstone.
Thunder V follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, Thunder IV, launched in June 2023, and which initially invested in two logistics assets in Parma and Brescia last October.
The latest asset, which is equipped with 74 loading bays, is fully leased to a major Italian freight forwarder.
Gianluca Vairani, senior managing director Transaction Management & Head of ESG of Kryalos Sgr, commented: ‘The acquisition of this property represents an excellent opportunity considering the fact that logistics remains central in investors' strategies and that the property is located in an area, that of Piacenza, which due to its location in a central position between Milan, Genoa, Verona and Bologna represent one of the most important crossroads in Italy, with a strong demand for space.’
