Jan Kotrbacek (34) became the head of the Retail Team at Cushman & Wakefield’s Prague office with effect from 1 December. He took over after Martin Zizala who held the position for the last six years. Kotrbacek will be in charge of the Czech and Slovak markets.

Until recently, Kotrbacek led the High Street Team, which is a part of the Retail Team. He has been in this position since July 2002, having joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2001. Jan became a C&W Partner in January 2010. During his tenure with the company, he has built many important relationships with both international and local business partners.
Jan Kotrbacek is one of the founding members of SNMP, an organisation that brings together major property owners and tenants in the city centre and endeavours to improve the retail environment in Prague 1. His hobbies include travelling and outdoor activities. Photography is one of his biggest hobbies, as is his family.
Kotrbacek will lead a total of eleven people in C&W’s Prague and Bratislava office. The team has gained extensive experience, having participated in the lease of the Metropole Zlièín, Tesco Letòany, Palladium Praha, Olympia Brno, Eurovea Bratislava, Nisa Liberec, and many other shopping centres in the previous years.
