Monique Korting has been appointed head of asset management for commercial real estate at Dutch investment manager Bouwfonds.

Monique Korting has been appointed head of asset management for commercial real estate at Dutch investment manager Bouwfonds.

Korting will be responsible for the asset management of the entire €2.8 bn retail and office portfolio.

She has been with Bouwfonds Investment Management since 2008 and has held various positions within the company. In April 2008 she started as asset manager for one of Bouwfonds IM’s private funds, the Bouwfonds Office Value Fund NV, and at the end of 2008 she also took responsibility for its fund management. Prior to this she worked for Unibail-Rodamco. Korting succeeds John van Haaren, who held this position on an interim basis from August to December 2015.

Based in the Dutch town of Hoevelaken, Bouwfonds IM manages a €6.3 bn portfolio of commercial and residential real estate, communication infrastructure, parking, and agricultural assets. Bouwfonds also has local offices in Germany, France, Poland and Romania.
