Global property consultancy Knight Frank has appointed Joe Otterburn as a partner in its debt advisory team.
Otterburn has over 13 years of capital and debt advisory experience. He joins Knight Frank from Europa Capital, where he has worked since 2016 – most recently as a director heading up the asset finance team. This team handled the debt origination, hedging strategy and transaction execution function for all of the firm’s acquisition and refinancing deals across Europe.
Prior to the roles of Associate Director and Director at Europa Capital, Otterburn held positions at Royal Bank of Scotland, King & Wood Mallesons, and Eversheds.
Lisa Attenborough, head of debt advisory at Knight Frank, said: 'Joe’s appointment will allow the debt advisory team to continue growing the breadth and depth of advisory services we are able to offer our clients.
'Joe joins a rapidly growing team whose knowledge and experience is unrivalled in the market. With Joe now onboard, we will continue be a strategic partner to our clients, providing expert advice that will help guide them through today’s challenging market.'
Debt advisory sits within the firm’s FCA-regulated Knight Frank capital advisory function, headed up by Birju Shah, which has been undergoing a period of rapid expansion in recent years.
Otterburn's experience includes acting for both borrowers and lenders across multiple European jurisdictions. As a Partner at Knight Frank, Otterburn will focus on helping to grow the debt advisory team, advising clients across both commercial and residential asset classes.
