Knight Frank has increased its Spanish team with the appointment of José Luis Miró as director responsible for the group's business strategy in the country. Miró has over 10 years of experience in the real estate sector, having covered a number of positions in investment management, consultancy and development. Before joining Knight Frank, he has been executive vice-president of Grupo Sando for seven years and an auditor at KPMG.

Knight Frank has been present in the Spanish market since 1989 with offices in Madrid and Sevilla. Earlier this year, the company brokered the sale and leaseback of Ferrovial's headquarters in Madrid's Príncipe de Vergara for around EUR 40 mln.

Separately, Savills said that it has appointed Andrew Stevens as head of real estate valuations in Barcelona. Stevens joined Savills in 2006 after working in Madrid for Jones Lang LaSalle.
