Knight Frank has announced the opening of a dedicated office in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The opening of the office comes as an organic move for the global property consultancy, in response to increasing demands from the firm’s clients for local real estate services.
Sofia currently has a stock of 2.2 million m2 of class A & B & owner occupied office space with a further 500,000 m2 of new class A office space anticipated by 2022/23.
The business will initially focus on office leasing advisory to corporate owners and occupiers (occupier services & landlord representation) with a full spectrum of commercial property services planned for the future.
‘In spite of these extraordinary times our European business is going from strength to strength. As Knight Frank celebrates its 125th anniversary our sights are set on our future and as such we are very excited to announce the opening of our new office in Sofia and our expansion within such an important region,’ said Andrew Sim, managing director of Europe at Knight Frank.
Horatiu Florescu, Chairman & CEO, Knight Frank Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria added: ‘The opening of Knight Frank Bulgaria represents an exciting expansion of the network, allowing us unrivalled coverage of this important market. Sofia is a city in the vicinity of our already dominant presence in Bucharest and Budapest, so this opening comes as a natural step in order to be able to best service our existent database present in Bulgaria as well.’
