Independent global property consultancy Knight Frank has expanded in Ireland through the merger with the Dublin-based management practice Most Commercial Management. The move will significantly boost Knight Frank Ireland's business operations, turnover and staff in the field of commercial property, asset and facility management, the company said.

The newly merged company will operate under the name of Knight Frank Management Ireland. The merger will add an additional EUR 650,000-plus to the Irish group's turnover, but Knight Frank Ireland said it aims to increase this figure significantly over the next two years. Eleven staff from Most Commercial Management will join Knight Frank.

The expansion is the first within the estate agency and property consultancy profession in Ireland this year. There have been no other mergers in the sector so far this year, Knight Frank Ireland claims.

Most Commercial Management operates a full range of services in commercial property, asset and facility management, providing services to many international, as well as national, corporations. Its client portfolio includes Avestus Capital, McDonalds and Vodafone.

Paul McDowell, managing director of Knight Frank Ireland, said that following the downturn now more than ever before there is a need for asset and commercial property management.
