Global property adviser Knight Frank has appointed Joe Warren as an associate in its ESG consulting team, expanding its capacity to advise clients on regulatory issues and net zero carbon strategies.
Working closely with Jonathan Hale, head of ESG Consulting UK, and the project & building consultancy team led by Charles Ingram Evans, Warren will focus on helping clients manage and reduce the carbon output of their development and refurbishment projects.
Warren has extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, carbon reporting, feasibility studies and sustainability asset appraisals. He spent seven years at facilities management firm Mitie, specialising in technical energy solutions, and developed additional technical experience in roles at David Maher & Associates and Coffey Construction.
Warren has also advised the UK government on new carbon accreditation legislation. As such, he is well placed to advise clients on contemporary ESG regulation and strategy, offering invaluable insight on public policy as well as technical carbon solutions.
Commenting on his appointment, Hale said: ‘Joe is a fantastic addition to the team and we’re excited to welcome him to Knight Frank. His experience as technical consultant to BEIS, developing the government’s Performance Based Policy Framework, paired with his close links with NABERS, illustrate his unique and valuable experience.’
He added: ‘As we continue to guide our clients to reduce their environmental impact and unlock value, Joe will offer direct solutions to support the adaptation and transformation towards sustainable real assets. We are very pleased to bring this skillset and sector specialist knowledge to our clients who require solutions, assurance and a trusted partner to help support their transition to net zero.’
