Property adviser Knight Frank is setting up a London desk in its Jakarta office to tap into cross-border investment coming from the Asia-Pacific region.
Joel Burgess will staff the desk.
Burgess, who moves from the investment team in London, will focus on business generation both locally and internationally for office leasing, residential and capital markets .
He will be linking with Jeremy Waters (global capital markets), focusing on cross-border appetite for property investment that is beginning to emanate from Indonesia.
Reporting to Knight Frank’s head of Indonesia, Willson Kalip, Burgess will also be working with Fakky Hidayat, head of investment and capital markets in Jakarta.
Prior to this move Burgess was involved in the sale of Battersea Power Station. He has also worked for Knight Frank in Singapore for three months after being elected to take part in the company’s Broadening Horizons scheme.
