The firm has appointed Janet Franklin (pictured) as a partner to lead its mandate with the Mercers Livery Company, whose property portfolio is focused on the Covent Garden area of the West End and the City of London. Franklin joins from Avison Young, where she was a director.

Mary Elizabeth Rankin has been hired as marketing and community director for the Pollen Estate portfolio, joining from the Chicago Loop Alliance. Prior to this Rankin worked in communications for the Portman Estate and Heart of London BID.

Julian Stocks, partner at Knight Frank said: 'We are delighted that Janet and Mary Elizabeth have chosen to join the Knight Frank asset management team. We have made these important hires at a time when our recent wins, including the John Lyons portfolio and Trinity House, have taken our total assets under management (AUM) to almost £3 bn (€3.43 bn).'

According to the firm, Knight Frank's AUM in 2016 was just £1.7 bn, with the figure rising by 15% within the past 12 months alone.
