He will replace Alberto Prieto, who after 20 years at the company and five as managing director ends this stage of his career to take on new projects. White’s appointment will become effective from 30 April.

London-born White holds an extensive track record in the Spanish real estate market. He joined Knight Frank in 2000 and since 2012 has headed up the capital markets and offices division, which since last year, also incorporated retail under the commercial property area. In 2014 White was made a partner in the Spanish unit.

After a short break, Prieto will continue to be connected to the firm from September onwards, as senior advisor.

In addition, Knight Frank said it is adding a new business line: full-service management of offices and logistics warehouses. This will complement the existing core business focused on residential, offices, retail, capital markets and valuations.

The company has also amalgamated its various departments in to two large divisions: residential and commercial, to build on the synergies between the business lines and thereby streamline dialogue with its clients.
