Qadar will lead on all London commercial research and support the existing team’s strong track record of producing timely and industry-leading research and insight.

Qadar commented: 'It’s an exciting time to be joining Knight Frank, with ESG, technology and new occupier requirements set to drive the future of real estate in London, already one of the world’s most dynamic and engaging cities. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues and clients to navigate the trends and opportunities for London in the years ahead.'

Qadar joins Knight Frank from Invesco, where he worked as a senior analyst on the real estate securities portfolio team. He spent nine years at the investment management company, before which he was Head of UK and Ireland real estate research at Grosvenor Britain and Ireland, and was an economist at the Engineering Employers Federation.

He will work closely with Will Matthews, head of commercial research, on Knight Frank’s research content and key reports, including Knight Frank’s annual London Report, while also supporting agency teams and clients with insight into the latest market trends.

Matthews said: 'Shabab brings a wealth of experience in real estate research to the team. There has never been a greater need for high-quality data, insight and analysis to inform decision-making in real estate and Shabab’s expertise will further strengthen our offer to clients.'

Qadar's appointment comes as Faisal Durrani moves into a new role at Knight Frank as head of Middle East Research.
