Knight Frank advises McAfee on major letting in Cork

Global property consultant Knight Frank announced it has secured the largest office letting in the Irish city of Cork for several years on behalf of California-based antivirus software producer McAfee.

Knight Frank said McAfee is taking 5,600 m² at the new EUR 140 mln City Gate development in the Mahon district of Cork. The deal covers the entire first and second floors of Building 2000, with an option to take further space. Property consultants Downing Commercial acted for the landlord of the development, the privately owned Cork-based property development and investment company, John Cleary Developments

Contracts on a 20-year lease with break options and 135 parking places have now been exchanged, but the terms of the lease were not made public. The fit-out is to commence immediately with occupation by McAfee due at the end of December and early January next year.
